aur0ristes – sans nous

aur0ristes is a Paris-based duo made of Lucus & R0R. One afternoon of August 2025, they met as they sometimes do, and they recorded a 3hr long impro. Made from the recording of this session, 5 tracks were finally produced. Thus, “sans nous” was born as an EP.

For this project, Lucus used samples following the same loop-playing process as usual. Some came from recordings of live shows of Spring 2025 in Paris, others from nature made with friends, and some we don’t remember how.

On R0R’s side, it’s about exploring the sound possibility of a homemade square synthesizer: sampled, on the go, and through super collider effects and tools. From emotional melodies to total chaos noise.

Lucus is a French sound artist & researcher based in Paris, cofounder of the event series Cent lendemains, and part of Caution néomorale, aur0ristes & other projects.

R0R is a French soundmaker and artist based in a Paris suburb. He came from visual art, circuit bending, and DIY interests.
