GitM – Phantom Noises
Phantom Noises is an album that was created by improvisation, running pre-recorded sounds through various devices, granular synthesis, and looping. The base was material recorded with various microphones and digital and analog technology. There are not many tracks and treatments, but rather a raw interaction of recordings and machines.
Szymon Nożyński has been involved in music and sound for many years. He works as an academic teacher and a sound scientist. For many years, he was a music journalist. In his spare time, he records music, often using the acronyms GitM, NIS, and nAVn, depending on the music he’s working on. Szymon is also pleased to collaborate with other artists. To date, he has released albums with Camembert Electrique (France), I Low You Records (Japan), and Antenna Non Grata (Poland).
