Lars Haur – Csasiodiskk
Csasiodiskk was created entirely using a Casio Portasound, the iPad app “skippodisk”—software that deliberately simulates read errors on compact discs—and a delay/reverb pedal whose particularly airy and hollow sound became the central sonic element.
The production process was characterized by playful experimentation and a conscious reduction to just a few tools. It was precisely this limitation that opened up unexpected sonic spaces and gave the album its unique, fragile aesthetic.
Lars Haur is known for his sonic creations, is the writer of the music blog Fringes Of Sound, and is the curator of Error Prone Records.
