Rushab Nandha – SHED

With SHED, artist Rushab Nandha presents a pared-down, deeply introspective work at the intersection of ambient, minimalist sound art and drone. The release comprises three tracks as well as an alternative version of the first piece, unfolding its impact in a deliberately condensed, essential form.

At the heart of SHED lies radical reduction: sound is not embellished but laid bare. Layer upon layer is removed until only the essential remains—fragile textures, floating drones, and finely balanced frequency spaces that stretch time and perception.

The artist describes the creative process as a phase of personal uncertainty and self-examination.This attitude permeates the entire work. SHED is not a loud statement but a quiet, consistent exploration of his own artistic language. The alternative version of the first track expands on this approach by offering a new perspective on the source material and further enhancing its sonic possibilities.

The result is a focused listening experience that emphasizes state and atmosphere rather than narrative development—an invitation to immersion, reflection, and conscious listening.

Rushab Nandha is a sound artist based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is known for his outstanding releases on labels, such as Falt, Dragon’s Eye Recordings and Facade Electronics.
