rsn – dilatation #2

“dilation #2” is the continuation of the dilatation series, which deals with the deep and wide expanses of drone and ambient. It is about expansion and extension, about the wafting and tangible depth of sound and immersion. Bass and mini synthesizers are used to create crawling walls of sound within the three songs of “dilatation #2”, which break out here and there and find themselves again.

rsn is the interdisciplinary art project by thomas rosen, born kempka. it evolves within the field of sound aesthetics, photography and the design of sound objects. the work is both self-sufficient and open to other areas of creative art, focussing on the moment, the process and the flow. rsn is a self-taught artist following a d.i.y. approach with high quality standards. professional networking and collaboration are essential for his work. the music of rsn is located in the broad field of ambient, drone and noise. the project began at the turn of the year 2023/2024, but is based on years of experience. in addition to several music and band projects not mentioned here, the instrumental drone/metal/post-rock trio [ B O L T ] should be mentioned above all. since 2011 and with over 20 releases, the band has made a name for itself. rsn is a creative spin-off, so to speak, that quickly took on a life of its own. both [ B O L T ] and rsn have labels behind them that provide physical releases. rsn is a sound project with high artistic standards, both solo and in the countless collaborations – the d.i.y. approach meets a doer mentality and the backing of professional structures. the musical-esthetic output is therefore not only appreciated in regular clubs, but also in art houses and galleries.
